About our home

Our home started life in the 1890s as an oil shop with living space above it. It sits in a pretty terrace of other ex-shops 20 metres from Highbury Fields (a lovely green space surrounded by plane trees and georgian houses), with an excellent actual shop at the end of it! It has been recently architecturally designed and converted to suit the needs of a family with 2 small girls with a large open-plan kitchen and living space (glass box roof, big sliding doors etc. on to the garden). The master bedroom and ensuite bathroom are unusually large and allow for a roll-top bath in the centre of the bathroom. A few steps up from here is a roof terrace with a great view across leafy gardens as far as you can see.
The house is located 3 mins from Highbury & Islington tube station (on the Victoria Line which takes 15/20 mins to Oxford Circus or Covent Garden) and has 2 other overground train lines running from it for direct travel to most areas of London. It's also possible to walk to the City (St. Paul's) in about 40 mins.
We are within 5 mins walk to the top of Upper Street which is lined with restaurants, bars, cinema/theatres and independent retailers (as well as high street shops towards Angel Islington) so entertainment and good food is on the door step if you don't want to go into central london.
Ideally suited for a family as we can provide necessary equipment, but also works well for adults.
