About our home

Our home is large, modern and comfortable and NW5 is a great location - both for exploring London and getting away from it! We are 5 minutes from Hampstead Heath (20 from Soho). Kentish Town and/or Tufnell park stations are on the Northern Line - 5 stops to the West End) There are also nunerous buses running from the end of our street. Hampstead Heath is a short stroll away. The heath - the largest city park space in Europe - has wonderful views across the city, as well as natural ponds, tracks, playgrounds and a huge - actually bigger than olympic by I think 3 metres - open air swimming pool. The heath is the main reason we, and many who can, live here.

CHECK OUT http://www.timeout.com/london/things-to-do/kentish-town-area-guide. Time Out loves Kentish Town. partly because a new columnists for them in a neighbour, but also because it's full of fabulous eateries and pubs ... The Southampton arms, around the corner from us, is constantly voted among the best pubs in London for its real ale/beer specialities. We are surrounded by well regarded gastro pubs. Our closest high street - Tufnell Park (tube by the same name, 3 mins from out door) has also become very hip recently. There are great organic/local meat and fish shops, as well as some more eclectic shops, such as the divine Ruby Violet ice cream shop.

Our home is a typical end of terrace Victorian. We have just added an extra level to the existing three floors, which houses houses a walk in wardrobe/dressing room. We get the sun all day in the garden, which is very big for London standards and is hardly overlooked. There's a patio area in the garden for al-Fresco dining - gas grill etc. Also there's a sunken (and safer) trampoline at the end of the garden - under the apple tree.

We have just completely renovated the kitchen and changed around some of the rooms, so that all rooms have double beds. I plan to take picture of all - including the front of the house - this week. Until then, check out OneFineStay - http://www.onefinestay.com/london/lady-somerset-road/images/?ref=moreimages. I think they have a picture of the front and they show others.

We are looking for a swap in Spain this Easter - 10 days ideally from around 28th/29th March. Preferably south, but really anywhere where Spanish spoken and not English!

In summer, we are looking for swaps in Italy, ideally Puglia or on the sea, but we are open to offers. we are away from 6th August and out house is free, but we are looking for a place for one week, from 13th August.

Thanks!
