About our home

This is an opportunity to use our funky apartment, complete with designer furniture and art, that has just been built within a beautiful deco block in its own grounds a few seconds walk from Blackheath Station. It is in a lovely quiet spot but just off the village main street and seconds from Blackheath station which has excellent fast links to stations close to Trafalgar Square, the City of London, Mayfair or Harrods in Knightsbridge.

Please note that this apartment is best for two people (it has a large fold down bed). A visitor/s can sleep on the sofa bed but it is not really ideal for more than one or two nights. The apartment is not suitable for young children.

Watch our video to see the apartment in more detail:

Blackheath is a great example of true village London and every type of restaurant, bar and shop is on your doorstep while the apartment itself stands in its own landscaped gardens and a private walkway directly to the High Street and the Heath, or the Royal Park which is one of London's most iconic open spaces.

It is important to note that this is a studio suite apartment, which means it has no separate bedroom (but a lovely brand new bathroom) but when you look at the photographs and see the quality folding bed and the high specification fittings and fixtures you will see that we have made our second home like a top quality hotel suite with plenty of room for two people and a corner sofa bed that can sleep two visitors. The photographs are of the actual apartment from the official brochure for Falconwood, as I bought the 'show' apartment but I am upgrading the furniture and art work as I write so will update the images when all is complete. I am happy to send you the brochure PDF.

The apartment was completed in June 2014 so all the fittings and decorations are brand new. There is a Miele kitchen with all the modern gadgets; washer/dryer, dish washer, large refrigerator and freezer, cappuccino maker, a light oak solid wooden floor and a fantastic rotating Smart TV with direct internet access so you can watch it on the sofa or while lying on the comfortable bed complete with luxury silk mattress!

The apartment is on the second floor and has triple glazing and a lovely leafy outlook so it is extremely quiet and light and has a modern security system, although Blackheath is known for being an extremely safe and law-abiding area.

Where is it?

We do not want anyone to be disappointed if they swap or us so we like to be absolutely honest about the apartment:

Size: This apartment is 36.2 sq metres or 390 square feet but we have no problems living in it.

Sleeping: It has a folding bed which requires a bit of strength to lift although you can easily leave the bed down, it has a dining table or desk that automatically folds down as you lift the bed and there is a separate breakfast bar table and stools where you can eat if you like.

Transport: There is no underground station in Blackheath but the overland station (see map) is literally seconds from your front door (you can use the London Oyster travel card, so it is just like using the underground) and links to London Bridge in just 15-20 minutes and also Charing Cross Station (right next to Trafalgar Square), Cannon Street in the City of London in less time. The station also connects to Waterloo East next to Parliament, Big Ben and the London Eye.

Apartment block: The apartment is on the second floor and there is no elevator or lift so it is not suitable for people with an illness or disability that would stop them climbing two short staircases.

Position: This is a huge plus, Blackheath is charming, safe and very fashionable – the Blackheath ‘triangle’ which has fabulous fine dining, cheaper eats, a micro brewery, a fishmonger and fish restaurant, lots of pubs and bars of all different types and a fabulous local at the end of our block, is at the end of your own private walkway. The heath is beautiful and the walk to Greenwich, which is a world-class attraction and is full of more bars and restaurants, is a wonderful experience.

The apartment is not suitable for young children.

That’s about it so get in touch for more details.
