About our home

" This is a bright, clean airy and modern multi-level apartment iset n Zone 2 of London. It is only just over 10 years old and is in a quiet residential street which is part of a conservation area. There is no garden but there are 2 parks nearby.
The apartmennt has its own door onto the street. Once through the front door there are 10 steps to the apartment itself. 1st floor is hallway, lounge and kitchen. In the kitchen is a large dining table that seats 6. There are 2 sofas in the sitting room, lots of books, a computer and a piano. All rooms are bright and airy and the house is quiet because it is in a quiet street.
12 stairs lead upstairs where there is a bathroom and 2 double bedrooms. Again, the rooms are bright and airy. The larger double bedroom is a child's room and only children are allowed to sleep in this room. The smaller double bedroom has a king size bed and is for adults. There is also a comfortable foldaway bed that could be added to the child's bedroom or alternatively put in the sitting room.
The apartment is carpetted throughout and there are also lots of colourful rugs. There are pictures and mirrors and the lovely colours and sunlight (it is South facing) make it a bright and happy place to be.
This is a bright and modern multi-level apartment in Zone 2 of London. We are a 15 minute walk from the world famous Portobello Market. We are 10 minutes from Queens Park tube which heads straight into Central London (Oxford Circus 15 minutes) or alternatively 10 mintutes from Kensal Rise overground station which is 10 minutes to Kew Gardens or Richmond. This overgournd train is also the Olympic Games line - 25 minutes to Stratford. There is1 small park 2 minutes walk away and a larger one 10 minutes walk away. The area is excellently served by public transport.
There are lots of bars and restaurants - mostly 10 minutes walk away - whether you turn right for Queens Park or left for Kensal Rise. There is a lovely Italian restaurant called Idas approximately 5 minutes walk away run by Simonetta, who is a novelist, and her husband. It is low key and family although our local celebrities often dine there as both atmosphere and food are great.
The resturant offers cooking lessons for anyone (kids or adults) who wants to come along for a couple of hours on a Saturday morning."
