Our flat has a spacious living room with a built-in kitchen, separate entrance, bathroom and bedroom. It faces south-west, is bright and airy, and has balcony overlooking King's Cross, with views towards landmarks such as the BT Tower and the London Eye. A highlight is our beloved super-king-size bed with a top-notch memory-foam mattress and pillows - you are guaranteed a great night's sleep!
The flat is between 6 and 12 minutes' walk from the huge transport hub that is the combined King's Cross and St Pancras stations (depending on what part you need to get to!). It is really convenient for getting a direct bus, underground or train to just about anywhere in London and for travel to Paris. The British Museum is a 25-minute walk away through Bloomsbury, Camden market and Islington restaurants are a 20-minute walk away, and it is three underground stops from Oxford Street. It would take you 25 minutes by tube to get into the West End for a theatre trip.
The neighbourhood is very urban and rapidly changing thanks to the redevelopment in the area north of the stations. New bars and restaurants are opening on a regular basis to cater to a growing population of young professionals and people working in newly opened office spaces. One of London's newest concert venues, King's Place, is only 5 minutes from our flat. Two concert halls have state-of-the-art acoustics and an impressive program of classical music and jazz. There are also two art galleries and a canal-side restaurant in the complex.
Between our flat and the station you can access the Regent's Canal for a pleasant traffic-free walk to Camden and Regent's Park.
We are a young professional couple, working for a technology company and in the law. Niall is Irish and Adeline is half French - so we are true Londoners! Adeline speaks French as well as any French person, and German and Italian.
