About our home

We think of our home as small but perfectly formed. It was built in 1860 and is reputed to be the home where P G Wodehouse lived when he attended Dulwich College (est. 1619) which is at the end of our road. The house has a large open plan living area with well defined sitting, dining and kitchen spaces. There is a sun room at the back of the house, opening to the south facing garden. There is a laundry room with WC and basin, washing machine and dryer.
Upstairs there are two double bedrooms plus a small single room, and a shower room with underfloor heating, basin and WC.

The house is especially suited to adults travelling without children.

We have excellent transport links to central London - our West Dulwich to Victoria train takes 12 minutes. It runs every 15 minutes and is 5 minutes walk away. The No 3 bus runs every 8 minutes from around the corner and takes half an hour to Parliament, Big Ben and Westminster Abbey ending at Trafalgar Square. From there you can take one of a number of buses which will take you to Piccadilly Circus, Regent Street and Oxford Street. This bus runs 24 hours a day, so is great for coming home late from the city. Our house is approx 1 minute walk from the bus stop. Or you could get off the bus at Brixton (10 minutes) and take the underground (tube).

Neighbourhood

West Dulwich is part of the fashionable district of Dulwich, with it's beautiful park, the Picture Gallery (www.dulwichpicturegallery.org.uk), the Horniman Museum (www.horniman.ac.uk), restaurants etc. But closer still
are the lovely shops around the corner including delicatessen, bakery, restaurants, bookshop, hairdressers, fashion shops, and convenience store. And with all this it is so easy to get into Central London with all its amazing things to see and do.
