About our home

We have transformed this Edwardian house into our family home, We moved here from another South West London borough 5 years ago after falling in love with Tooing. We have renovated in its entirety, providing modern appliances whilst still keeping the original features which are over 100 years old. We are very proud of our home and love to entertain. I always want guests to feel comfortable and relaxed and I hope you will too.

Enter through the original stain glass door to the ground floor hallway; here there is a sitting room with 46" TV (Cable, Netflix and on demand), piano, sofa and reclining chair. The kitchen/diner is towards the back of the house, overlooking the garden. The kitchen has all the mod cons you would expect plus a state of the art coffee machine and Kitchen Aid for the discerning foodie!

Our garden has a patio towards the back with table and seating for 8; there is a playhouse and assorted garden toys for children. We keep 3 hens in a fully enclosed coop - fresh, organic eggs for breakfast each day. There are some fruit trees and herbs available to use.
Should you wish to borrow a bike there is one available.

There are 5 bedrooms (A - Super King with luxury bed, B - King, C- Cot bed ( could be converted to accommodate baby, toddler) D - bunk bed for child and E - office witb double futon that sleeps 2) and 2 newly renovated bathrooms with rain showers.

***FAO Families***
Children: there is a cot, bassinet, highchair, spare "from birth" pram, and 2 car seats available should these be needed.

More about us

  1. Our family of 4 has travel at its heart; Phil and I met in South America years ago and together we have travelled to over 30 countries.
I am a science teacher and we love to use the holidays to explore new places.
With the arrival of our 2 children we have calmed our travelling as our preferred style of "arrive at a new city and see what's there" doesn't always work well with a toddler! Often hotels are too constrictive so we would love to exchange homes with likeminded people and enjoy new (and old) sights once more.

  2. We love to socialise - our home welcomes many friends and family members.

Phil is very creative and loves photography; we love to capture our travels and our adventures together.

Helen is an absolute foodie - it's vital that our exchange destination can offer a great culinary experience!

Don't just listen to me:

"“Tooting Broadway has a buzzy atmosphere. There’s a market and lots of fantastic shops and restaurants,” says Robin Chatwin, head of Savills in south-west London. “It’s got a real vibe to it now, that it probably didn’t have five years ago.”"
