The area:
Homerton is in the heart of Hackney and has everything you need for a enjoyable stay. Our local high street, Chatsworth Rd, has a plethora cafes and supermarkets, a pharmacy, deli, butchers, hairdressers, pub and various 'pop up' venues hosting a variety of interesting nights/exhibitions.There is also a weekly Sunday market with stalls selling gourmet foods, vintage, bric-a-brac, crafts, local meats, cakes, clothing and jewellery.
Close by is London Fields with its outdoor Olympic-sized heated lido and Broadway Market (Saturday farmer's market) with lively cafes, pubs and restaurants.
There are loads of pubs and parks nearby plus the canal-side towpaths that will take you to the new Queen Elizabeth Park (former Olympic Park) and the beautiful Victoria park with its gorgeous cafe and rowing lake.

Homerton Overground station gets you to Stratford in 6 minutes (for Westfield shopping centre). Highbury and Islington is 9 minutes away where you can pick up the Victoria line for Central London and the West End.
There are also loads of buses that take pretty much anywhere you want to go in London

We are a family of 4, with two children aged 4 and 6y. We have rented our house out many times over the years so we are used to sharing our home with other people. If you bring your children, please feel free to use the kids toys, scooters and bikes. We have loads of top tips for the local area, so feel free to ask any questions. We've lived in Hackney for 10 years and we absolutely love it, most of all for it's diverse, vibrant and friendly community. We hope you will love it too.
