About our home

Detached artist's house on pretty green, situated just off one of London's most beautiful riverside streets. Close to A4 links to west of England and easy proximity to underground stations serving Kensington, the west end and central London within twenty minutes. Lively local shops with a wide variety of top quality and family restaurants within walking distance. Three bedrooms and open plan wooden floored reception with kitchen overlooking river garden. Central heating, well ventilated house with floor to ceiling windows (all views are green). Shared communal garden and river garden surround house. Comfortable quality furnishings, a wide variety of books, piano. Suitable for a non-smoking, small family or couple.

Beautiful River Thames walks towards central London and towards Barnes, & Kew Gardens to the west. Friendly quiet neighbourhood surrounded by exquisite architecture from the 1700s. Child friendly river pubs and restaurants within a few minutes walk. Semi rural road which is open to the beach of the river and the Eyot for walks. (The tide still comes over the road here and ducks have been seen swimming past the kitchen window!) 7-10minute walk to tube with speedy, safe and largely overground links to Kensington and West End. Access to Chiswick Hammersmith or Barnes by foot. Easy car parking and great for cycling along the riverside tow paths. House close to historic Chiswick House Grounds, Hogarth's House, Fuller's Brewery, William Morris House and St Nicholas Church. Four mile nature walk from door via nature reserves and Thames Bridges (this is the stretch of river where the Oxford and Cambridge boat race takes place each year in spring).

We are a small family with two children 8 and 12. We work in the arts and education and our house reflects those interests. Lots of paintings, musical instruments and books, relaxing and comfortable but not high tech (We do have TV DVD and broadband Computer though.) We have a dog who walks with us on the river and for a London family we lead a relaxing out of doors lifestyle. ( We often just walk out along the river to "The Old Ship" 5 minutes away for breakfast!) We are non-smokers who would like to exchange with similar families who value a pleasant enviroment. We are very careful with other peoples' belongings and would like the same in return. Our dog can travel with us or can be kennelled depending on the circumstances. (We have said no pets because our little private green is communal, and has a no dogs off the lead rule. It is of course very peaceful and pleasant with friendly neighbours)
