“Sue and Paul's home was a perfect base for our family trip to London. The house is great for a family with lots of space and, as the weather was amazing when we were in London, the pool and hot tub were a huge hit with the children. Great location near North Greenwich tube, as well as Blackheath and Greenwich. Sue and Paul provided detailed instructions which were really helpful and they were so helpful when we had a couple of queries. A beautiful home and thank you so much for a great swap!”

About our home
Our home is in leafy Blackheath, South London. It is a short walk to Greenwich Park and the National Mariime Museum.
Three min walk to the station with trains every 13 mins to London Bridge and 15 mins to Cannon Street which is on the Circle and District tube. Take a river boat - the Clipper or the tube at North Greenwich for the city centre.
We have great views over London from the terraces and there is a nice size deck with a hot tub and small outdoor pool available from May to September. Great to relax in after a day in London.
It is an old Victorian house that was completely renovated some years ago. A good size kitchen dinning room, living room with fire place and terrance plus a small garden room. There are two large (king size) bedrooms and a bathroom on first floor, two smaller bedroom (one double plus one twin) and a bathroom on second floor. There is room for a travel cot or children’s bed in the studio on the top floor.
We have place in Wales, so can be flexible with dates and with four grandchildren we are very child friendly. There is permit parking outside the house at, £4 per day. We can provide passes if asked in advance.

Sue's reviews
As a host (13)“Paul and Sues home was a wonderful and spacious base for us and our sons family of 3 tiny people. Well appointed for children’s different sleeping schedules. We explored London, walked the parks, and Greenwich flat. The views from the 2 balconies were beautiful. Watching the city lights come on at night was a huge and unexpected bonus. We were in I London during the heat wave, which made the pool fabulous after a hot day of exploring. Lots of children’s toys, we could not have been better cared for. Transportation to Cricket games and Wimbledon was so easy too. What a wonderful trip we had. We would love to return. Thank you to Sue and Paul. ”
“Sue’s house is fantastic. We loved everything about this house. It is spacious and comfortable and very well equipped for self catering. However with many restaurants and transport on your doorstep we generally ate out. We used the swimming pool and hot tub during our stay and this was an added bonus. We were able to coordinate a simultaneous swap over the holiday and this enabled both of us to spend time with our grandchildren. We enjoyed meeting Sue and Paul when we did the handover and we all hope to repeat a swap in the future.”
“A lovely home. Spacious and well furnished. Also easy access to transportation. And Sue was a very gratious, and professional person to work with. I'd definitely return.”
“We had a wonderful time at Sue's beautiful house. The location was wonderful and Sue was very helpful. ”
“What a wonderful swap at Sue & Paul's lovely home! So well located a few minutes from the mainline station and then only 4 stops to London Bridge plus other buses and a tube station close by so getting around and into various parts of London was easy. Greenwich is within walking distance (20 minutes) with everything it has to offer along with the Clipper boat connection along the Thames. There is a corner shop a few minutes walk away by the station but supermarkets and other retail outlets are a short drive away. The house itself is spacious, very comfortable and well equipped with 2 terraces at different levels from which to enjoy the panoramic views over London whilst you have a meal or just relax. The swimming pool was wonderful and meant we could cool down and chill out (it was extremely hot weather during our stay). We were lucky enough to meet Sue and Paul briefly at the start of our swap and they were helpful and charming and very relaxed hosts. Sue had been very responsive to any queries leading up to the swap. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return to this amazing house on another occasion. ”
“We had a wonderful week long stay at Sue and Paul's in London. Their home is tasteful, elegant and homey; full of beautiful collectibles without being cluttered and also has a modern feel. The house is incredibly spacious with large bedrooms and huge gorgeous bathrooms. We took the train (5 min walk) to London Bridge station (about 10-15 minutes) most days which provided easy access to the tube for every attraction and location. The Clipper is also a fun way to get to city. The garden, pool and decks are an oasis near the city with a fabulous view (although the weather wasn't cooperative for us.) The neighbourhood is lovely and nearby Blackheath village a charming spot with lots of great restaurants. Perfect location for a London home base! Sue and Paul are gracious and thoughtful hosts and we look forward to welcoming them at our home in Ontario, Canada! ”
“We had a great week in London and really enjoyed the house and pool. Thank you for a lovely exchange.”
“Firstly a huge thank you to Paul and Sue for such a wonderful swap! The house is amazing, it's huge with so much space for everybody and the most unbelievable views of London from a 3rd floor roof terrace, pictures just can't do it justice! The location is wonderful, a leafy suburb of London which is seemingly a total secret to the rest of the city, it's amazing how peaceful it is considering the close proximity to everything. The transport system is easy, you can be in Cannon street within 15 minutes, or to North Greenwich Jubilee line, or to the DLR line or anywhere on one of the many buses that are close by too. Not only that, but you can also walk easily to Greenwich park, the Observatory, The Cutty Sark and the Maritime Museum are all within 20 minutes walk. If you get to swap in the summer you will also have the use of the lovely swimming pool in the garden too, or the hot tub, sadly it was a little too chilly for us to consider this time around! We had a great stay here and it was wonderful to be met on arrival by our hosts, and also get to meet their daughter and young family too! We can highly recommend Sue and Paul to LHS members, the level of communication was excellent and our stay was perfect. Cheers guys. Happy swapping and see you again soon!!! The Prince family. ”
“We have been to Sues home twice and had such a lovely time both times. It's a wonderful home in a great location. You can even park on the road despite it being in a very popular London area. We didn't use the car once, just jumping on the Tube or the Clipper. We had such fun feeling like Londoners for the week visiting everywhere and then returning to her wonderful home. We didn't use the pool and hot tub as we have only visited in Autumn but wow what fun it looks. Thank you both of you for opening up your home so freely to us and story this review has taken so long to write ! Very best wishes to you both Louise, Mark and the kids! ”
“We used one of out two weeks and had a lovely time in this comfortable and relaxed home. The owners were lovely, helpful and communicative and we can highly recommend it. Really looking forward to another few days in the summer when they can fit us in one day soon ! So much to do from there too ! ”
“Sue and Paul were the perfect hosts and waited patiently for us whilst we were stuck in London traffic coming from Wales. Their house is large and homey and very cosy. A lovely warm greeting- a fresh loaf of bread, butter and a fridge full of beer and a bottle of wine. The views from the balcony are to die for. The house is infused with love, especially the bedrooms. We didn't get a chance to use the new pool and hot tub but they are amazing. Easy access to the heart of London within 30 minutes. We couldn't have been luckier. They are the loveliest, more warm-hearted of hosts and we look forward to welcoming them to our home in Kuala Lumpur. Thank you.”
“We had the greatest time in London, thanks to Sue and her lovely home in Greenwich Sue was very helpful, conversations on email before the trip and and she wrote down everything we needed to know on arrivel, the houses is just stunning, even better than the pictures, the house is in a beautiful area in Geenwich, very close to the trainstation ( 5 min walk) and in just 10-15 min you are in London, transportation went very smoothly. Sue`s house has great rooms with very soft beds, We especially liked the wonderful view over London on the first floor terrace, even if we did not have time to use it it was nice the back yard had a pool and a jazucci. Its a great house for Familys, Sue has the second floor with children rooms including toys and their own bathroom I cannot not say enough positive things about this house, and we look forward to come back:) Thank you Clinton for being there on our arrivel and thank you SO much Sue for wine and some food on arrivel and for letting us stay in your wonderful home ”
