Barnes is located 5 miles South West of Central London on the river Thames between Kew and its world-renown gardens, Richmond Park, Wimbledon Common, Putney, Fulham, West Kensington and Chiswick. It has an attractive village atmosphere yet is very conveniently placed for sightseeing around London.
Barnes village is well served by frequently running trains to Waterloo, Paddington and Victoria train stations, buses which go to Putney, East Sheen and Richmond upon Thames as well as Hammersmith in the opposite direction, providing easy and quick access to Hammersmith Underground station and the London Underground network.
Barnes station is on the Common and is served by the Waterloo- Richmond- Windsor line. Barnes Bridge station is near the river and is on the Waterloo- Hounslow spur.
Barnes also has easy access to the M4, A3, M25, Heathrow Airport and Gatwick Airport.
