(we have a 2 bed, but our 2nd bedroom is packed and would be hard to make available in the short term at least).
Hello! Manar here, a big fan of airbnb for "proper living" when I take short breaks and are really excited to be house swapping now too
I remote manage mobile app development so can travel extensively and am away a lot so am flexible on dates within that time and don't need swaps to be synchronous or the same duration.
Am pretty open to suggestions for asynchronous swaps or swaps from early Dec onwards too. Some places I'm drawn to: San Francisco, Portland, Toronto, Berlin, Vancouver, Buenos Aires, Costa Rica non-stormy beaches.
Am very conscious that house swaps are _home_ swaps. I'd take care to repay the trust extended by those I swap with by treating it as I would a close friend's place. The last time I house sat for a friend they raved so hopefully I'd repeat that with each stay.
ABOUT MY PLACE
A modern comfortable 2 bed (en suite bathroom + guest shower-room) apartment is about 800sq ft and as central as you can get. A 1 minute walk from Covent Garden piazza, Trafalgar Square, The National Gallery, and London's theatreland... it's a fabulous base for a London adventure.
Within 5-15 mins walk you have the likes of Somerset House, The South Bank, Buckingham Palace, The London Eye, China Town, The British Museum, St James' Park, The Houses of Parliament (and a 4 minutes stroll away from the Thames embankment for sunny days).
Several tube stations and bus routes 3-10 minutes walk away take you directly to almost any part of London, though you may prefer to cycle using one of several Boris Bike docking stations nearby. (membership is £2 / day).
The actual flat is on a little pedestrian alleyway just off The Strand; whilst being this central can get noisy at times during the day it is generally quiet overnight.
There's a porter on weekday mornings, and a lift.
