Our modern flat on the top (6th) floor of a recently renovated 1970s building is ideally located to access some of London's most exciting areas. There is a lift in the building. It is a spacious one bedroom, with a double air mattress also available. There is a bathroom with shower and bath, a washing machine and tumble dryer and a balcony. The balcony overlooks the large shared garden which has a small play park section with some swings, etc. The garden/playpark has been recently renovated and is very clean and pleasant! The flat is equipped with wifi and a TV.
The flat is in Bow, East London and is close to small shops, big supermarkets (10-15 minute walk) and a range of cafes and restaurants serving European, Middle Eastern and Asian food. There are some great pubs within 15-20 minutes walk of the flat, should you be that way inclined!
Mile End Park is a 5 minute (3 if you're fit!) walk away, and from there you can walk (40 mins, no hills or roads) or cycle along the Regents Canal right up to beautiful Victoria Park and trendy Broadway Market.
If you don't feel like walking you can take an easy bus ride to the markets, cafes, bars and restaurants of Shoreditch and Dalston. If you fancy a night out in East London, there is a 24 hour bus which runs right past the end of our street.
If you are looking for more 'mainstream' or touristy things to do the Central, Hammersmith and City and District Tube Lines (Mile End Station) are a 10-15 minute walk away. The Central line can take you to London's busiest shopping street, Oxford Street, in about 15 minutes or you can use these or other lines to access all of London's main attractions easily. You can also either walk or take the bis down to Canary Wharf where there are lots of bars and restaurants overlooking the Thames.
