About our home

I don't think my photos are visible, if not please ask me to send to you as it really is a much much nicer than the cover photo!

We have spent the past year renovating our new apartment and are just working on the finishing touches. We have lived in the area for years and watched it become more and more popular. Its now very cool with some great cafes, bars and restaurants. The underground is a three min walk and takes you to the West End or City in ten minutes. There are also 24hour buses from town stopping just steps away. You can easily reach anywhere but you also have everything you could possibly need within a max of fifteen mins walk, inc. world class theatre, cinema, library, a beautiful park, tennis, mini golf, laundry, post office and there is more great shopping at the big Westfield mall in Shepherds Bush which is a short bus ride. There are plenty of local food shops, an award winning farmers market and a very big supermarket is less than ten minutes by bus.

The apartment is on the ground floor and has a pretty little walled garden which is very private and visited by Robins, Tits and Blackbirds. It's compact at around 750sq ft but has everything a couple could possibly need for a comfortable stay.

The bedroom has a very comfy queen size (5') bed and a full wall of wardrobes. Don't worry we will clear out some space for you! It's quite minimal and peaceful with a big ceiling fan, a rarity in the UK.

The bathroom is just finished and it's small but beautiful. There is a tub with a rain shower over and also a handheld shower which is great for hair washing.

The sitting room has two big squashy sofas designed for comfort and a couple of big pouffes for lounging. It also has a large ceiling fan and a good selection of books.

There are new walnut wooden floors throughout so we do ask that you leave your outdoor shoes at the door. We also request non smokers please.

The kitchen has just been completed and is quite lovely. There is a big glass roof with electrically opening panels so it's flooded with light and fresh air. There is a super efficient induction hob, pyrolytic self cleaning oven, microwave and a dishwashing washing machine, as well as a tall fridge freezer. It's fully equipped with all the usual gadgetry including a Nespresso. There is a tiny dining area which will seat four and a door to the garden which is still a work in progress but has a bench, two recliners and a table with two chairs. The washing machine is housed in the garden, there's no dryer but there is a laundrette just a minutes walk away.

The people who live upstairs are very friendly and helpful, the wife is Argentinian (fluent Spanish). Our daughter lives right opposite and will be able to help if you have any problems or need advice on anything at all. My other daughter lives just around the corner and is a great source of info (and sometimes cheap tickets) if you are interested in theatre or comedy.

We don't have television, but there is fast unlimited wifi so you can use your laptops to stream movies or play any of our large DVD collection. As you can see from the photos we also have a wide ranging selection of books.

There is no parking outside but I can obtain a parking permit for you to park right around the corner, there is a charge but it's very reasonable (around £40 for a pass that lasts a month or £3 per day). If you would also like to swap cars then you can use our permit. You really don't need a car though unless you want to do lots of exploring outside London, in town it's far easier, faster and cheaper to use public transport.

If you have any questions please email and I happily answer.
