About our home

We have four large bedrooms, a roomy office, two bathrooms, a large comfortable sitting room, and a second sitting room. The large kitchen/diner has been recently fitted and features tiled flooring and French doors looking out on to a pretty terrace and garden with a summerhouse and trampoline. There are whitewashed wooden floors throughout the house and original fireplaces in most of the rooms. We have a friendly cleaner, who comes once a week, although she can come more often if needed. Centrally located just two miles from the centre of London, Queens Park is close to the buzzing markets of Portobello and Notting Hill and a stroll away from lots of local coffee shops, bars, restaurants and shops in Kensal Rise and Queens Park. We have a lovely local cinema called the Lexi which features arty and mainstream films where you can enjoy a drink while watching the latest releases. In the summertime the Lexi also runs open air movies in Queens Park. There is a train station just five minutes walk from the house that goes from East to West London so from the attractions of Stratford in the East (which includes the Olympic stadium and Westfield East) to leafy Richmond in the West. We are 10 minutes walk across a pretty park to Queen's Park station on the Bakerloo line which is a 20 minute journey to Oxford Street where you'll find lots of great shopping, restaurants, fun nightlife and theatre. There is on street parking and tubes and trains run until midnight. There are also buses and night buses running into the centre of the city.
