About our home

Our home is a spacious 4 bedroom red brick Edwardian maisonette in a safe, leafy road just a few minutes walk from Clapham South tube station and Clapham Common. It’s about 30 minutes door-to-door into central London – Bond Street, Kings Road, Leicester Square, the museums in South Kensington, etc. The London Eye at Waterloo is even closer.

The 220 acre Common has 3 ponds (one used for fishing for roach, tench and bream, another for sailing model boats) plus a paddling pool, Victorian Bandstand and a beautiful Anglican Church, Holy Trinity which holds a popular summer fete. You’ll find a wide variety of sports played here including cricket nets and tennis plus music events and of course it’s very popular with joggers.

About a mile in one direction are the shops of Northcote Road with its cafes, restaurants, pubs and boutiques (like Cath Kidston, Jack Wills, LK Bennett, etc), in the opposite direction there’s yet more green open space of the 125 acre Brockwell Park and the vibrant, cosmopolitan Brixton with its amazing Market. If you’re into tennis when Wimbledon is on, it’s but a tube journey away.

Or if you just want to walk around the corner there are half a dozen restaurants, a pub, a fantastic French boulangerie and a small supermarket.

Our property:
Master bedroom (king-sized bed with ensuite shower room)
Bedroom 2 with double bed
Bedroom 3 with double bed
Study (once a single bedroom)
Family bathroom
Sitting room with fireplace, plasma TV with Sky, blu-ray player and 6.1 surround sound, Wii and piano (please treat with care)
Kitchen with microwave, dishwasher and large fridge plus separate freezer
Adjacent dining room with table which extends to seat 8 comfortably and French windows to garden.
Laundry facilities are in a separate area.
Fast broadband & wifi

Our garden:
120 foot SSW facing garden which gets sun for most of the day.
Plenty of chairs, table, lounger, big gas barbecue with 3 burners and, depending on the time of year, maybe some home-grown veg to pick as you please.
Front drive with off-street parking
If you are disabled, there are only 2 shallow steps to the front door and one from the back to the garden

Ours is a comfortable place. If you would prefer to spend some time in a home that’s clean, well-looked after and has a soul and treat it as you would your own home we very much look forward to welcoming you.
