About our home

We have a one bedroomed flat in Maida Vale, West London. It has a large spacious living room with a bay window and the kitchen has all modern appliances including washing machine. The W.C has a bath and shower. The bedroom has a double bed and one of the couches in the living room also converts into a double bed. The flat will sleep 2-4 people comfortably.

There is very little outside noise whilst in the flat with quiet professional neighbours.

Maida Vale, is a quiet, leafy area of West London, sandwiched between St. John's Wood and Notting Hill/Bayswater area. Abbey Road of Beatles fame is at the top of our street and the BBC Maida Vale Studios are directly behind our flat. This is an area where many celebrities live including Jude law, Paul Weller and Kelly Osbourne, so you may bump into a few - we have!

We are a five minute walk from the local tube station from where you can get to Oxford Street in 10 mins. There is also a 24 hr bus connection to Oxford Street at our corner (from which you can walk to Soho). We are also very close to Regents Park and Hyde Park and if you would like to borrow our bikes you could get there in 10 minutes.

The area has lots of lovely bars, restaurants, cafes and deli's as well as in the neighbouring area Little Venice which also has the Canal Cafe Theatre. We are close to Ladbroke Grove and Portobello Road for it's famous market.

There are so many attractions nearby - including for sports fans - Lords Cricket Ground. It is also a very safe area, which can offer quiet respite whilst being so centrally located.

We are both young professionals, one of us working for the local Kensington and Chelsea borough and the other a large children's charity. We are very active people who enjoy outdoor activities such as cycling and roller skating. Many of our interests are reflected in our home such as writing, reading, listening and playing music and travel. We love food and wine.

We are also Scottish and travel regularly home to see our friends and family.
