About our home

Built in 1899, Elvaston Mews is tucked away in South Kensignton steps from the hustle and bustle of Gloucester Road and South Kensington. The mews gabled red brick facade hold pride of place at the top to the street commanding a magnificent view with stained glass windows and cobbled street emanating an old English charm. There are two modern bedrooms, two bathrooms, a light filled conservatory dining room, full contemporary kitchen, and large living room complete with a wood burning fireplace and wood carved, domed 20 foot ceilings. It has been recently renovated to incorporate high-end contemporary features to compliment the traditional style. Elvaston Mews a five minute walk from the Gloucester Road (Circle, District and Piccadilly lines) underground station. Motorists can gain access out of London via the A4/M4 with links to Heathrow Airport and the West.

Neighbourhood

Buzzy restaurants
Local restaurants Bangkok for Thai, Saki for Japanese, Absolutly book at Dock Kitchen for the most amazing food and they have an outside area if the weather permits. Sit outside on Sloane Square at the Corbell restuarant and watch all the shoppers and strollers. Go along Westbourne Park Road to Toms or Agnes B for more outdoor and indoor dining..
Cool bars
Anything in Nottinghill Gate.. Walk down Portobello Road and try any of the hang outs.
Cozy cafés
I love the small chinese restaurants in China town. Nottinghill Gate is full of trendy spots. And of course the local 2 minutes Starbucks...across the road is a wonderful coffee and cake shop as well....Gloucester Road.
Retail therapy
WE are 5 minutes from both Harrods, Knightsbridge and High Street Kensington for a good mix of cheap and chic.
Bit of culture
All theatre.. but for off Broadway or as we say Off West End go to the Hampstead theatre or Riverside. All the shows will be wonderful ff West end go to the Hampstead, or the Riverside..
Walks in the park
We live 2 minutes walk from Kensington Park and 5 minutes walk from Hyde Park
Spot of exercise
There are public bikes all over the streets in the area which you can rent and then return anywhere you find yourself.
Day tripping
It would be impossible to name just a few things but perhaps ...Go to Oxford to see the magnificent colleges. Take a trip to Stratford upon Avon for the Royal Shakespeare company. Rent a car and tour the Cotswolds or get on the Eurostar and be in Paris by lunchtime.
