Neighbourhood

Things to do near Brick Lane,,Another nice day out is on Sunday every week. The whole of brick lane turns into a market area . You can walk down brick lane and go to petticoat lane which specialises in cheaper clothing items, then walk up to Spitalfields market which has a selection of items for purchase and numerous bars and restaurants and cafes.
On the same day, Sunday, is the flower market on Columbia Road. Flower vendors line the street with exotic plants and flowers , and you can wander through and then visit all the little quaint shops along the way. Highly recommended is the art walk tour, which highlights artists like Banksy and other famous people who do street art in the area

Buzzy restaurants
Highly recommended is the globe cafe at the end of Columbia road. They have very good pizza and other items all a good price . It has a nice vibe as on a sunny day you can sit outside enjoying the weather. Other Restaurant suggestions are Taz Firin directly opposite my house, it has large portions of typical turkish food and uses fresh ingredients. The best curry in my opinion is Gandhi on Brick Lane. It's half way down Brick Lane past the Truman Brewery. Nearby is MOO an Argentinian Bar with great burgers, cocktails and ambience. Near the Truman is the lovely Kinbao, one of my favourite thai restaurants in London. For a cheap late night snack, the famous Brick Lane Bagel shops are one street over from my house, with fresh cream cheese bagels at the second shop with a white sign and the famous salt beef bagels are at the first one on Brick Lane, with a yellow sign. Next door is Verge Bar right on Bethnal Green High street and this is one of my favourite bars but as you will discover the area has loads of bars and restaurants to discover and food from around the world.
