We live in a modern two storey house is London. It has a big open plan kitchen (complete with appliances) and dining room, with a flat screen freeview TV. We have four proper bedrooms. Two have single beds, the others have king sized doubles. There are also three other rooms with double sofa beds but they also double up as studies. There are five studies in our house. Two of them have sofa beds and desks (one has a tv), another has a pc computer and desk and another has two full sized flat screen apple Macs and the. There is also a PC laptop, in total there are 4 computers. We have a playroom with two sofas and a TV with freeview and a VCR. We also have a living room with a 26" television (with VCR and DVD), sofas and armchairs. All the bedrooms have en suite bathrooms with a shower, bath etc. There are also two more bathrooms for family use (one is just a toilet and sink). We have a big back garden with a twelve foot trampoline, swing, pond, greenhouse, shed, bench and side passage where we keep our guinea pigs. There is a big patio with a table, chairs and gas barbeque. But most of the garden is grass. We also have a basketball hoop and a netball net. Down the back of the garden, runs a public river, which is nice to walk along. We also have a pleasant front garden leading to our front door, and off street driving suitable for one car (we have a black four seater convertable and an 8 seater family toyota).
We live on a friendly street with other families with children. It is a 30 second walk to the bus stop (which is useful for getting all around London) and a ten minute walk from the tube station (also useful). It is a 10 minute bus journey (3 minute drive or 15 minute walk) to the local shopping centre. It is perfect for all shopping (clothes, accessories, groceries, drinks, snacks, gifts, restaurants and there is also a cinema here). It has a great buzz to it and is always alive with activity and has a great atmosphere. Here, there are also french and italian markets every few weeks, selling loads of stuff including clothes, pasta, sweets, cakes, bread etc. We also live near many tourist attractions, and it is easy to reach them via public transport or a short drive. For example, there is Big Ben, Madame Tussauds, Tower Bridge, Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, London Eye etc. These are all easily accessible and about a 20 minute drive. We also live near the famous Oxford Street and Regent Street which is always great for shopping and a good experience (a 10 minute tube journey and 30 minute bus journey, also reachable by car). There is a river running down the back of the garden which is lovely to walk along, and the canal is nearby too.
There are 4 of us. Steven is a university professor and Alexandra is a lawyer. Joanna and Zoe are 14 and 12. We have a small and very friendly dog who enjoys playing and walking. We have guinea-pigs and fish too, but they do not need much attention!
