About our home

We have an attractive and light-filled 1840 Victorian semi on 3 floors with front and back gardens. The outside of the house and the stairwell have just been renovated. The ground floor kitchen and large dining area has doors opening directly on to the patio (garden chairs and table are provided. On this floor too there is a utility room with washing machine and dryer, and a bedroom with double bed and adjacent toilet and shower room. The upper ground floor has a spacious and light double sitting room with an ornate Victorian plasterwork ceiling and along with sofas and antique furniture contains an electronic piano (soon to be replaced by a real piano), and a bedroom with 2 very comfortable bunk beds and a sink, with an adjacent toilet. The topmost floor has the master bedroom with double bed, a bathroom with toilet, shower and bathtub. On this floor too are a small study and a larger study, the latter with a sofabed (a large single). The 40ft long back garden has lawn, silver birch tree, flower beds and flagstone areas, and the front has box hedging, a flowering cherry tree and flower beds.
