About our home

We are most interested in a swap to San Francisco for Summer 2017.
Our home is a red brick "semi-detached" Victorian in a residential road minutes from 175-acre Wandsworth Common. From here, reach the center of London and key tourist attractions via 2 main transportation links - (1) Wandsworth Common Rail station (7 minutes walk), a 15-minute train ride to London Victoria (then switch to Tube lines if needed); (2) the Northern Line tube nearby (10 minute walk), to get virtually anywhere central within about 30 minutes. As the crow flies, we are about 4 miles from Buckingham Palace which is about 5 miles driving distance.

Wandsworth Common is a lovely, leafy park with play areas for children, tennis courts, a bowling green, cricket and rugby pitches, 2 ponds and cafe (Skylark Cafe) in the park. Running along the south side of this park ("Common") is Bellevue Road, home to nice coffee shops, restaurants, pubs, boutiques and Michelin-starred Chez Bruce - minutes' walk from our home. A little farther is wonderful Northcote Road, one of London's lovely neighbourhood shopping roads with boutiques galore (e.g. Cath Kidston, Petit Bateau, Jack Wills, LK Bennett, Emma Bridgewater, Question Air, Neal's Yard, etc.), restaurants/cafes (The Bolingbroke, Byron Burger, Franco Manca Pizza, Brew), coffee shops, bars, etc.

With so much on our doorstep, you can enjoy everything London has to offer. Central London is 30 minutes via transport and we have myriad parks - not to mention the River Thames - within minutes.

House Key Facts:
Master bedroom (King-sized bed/ensuite bathroom), fireplaces in bedroom and bathroom (claw-foot tub, shower, etc).
4 additional good-sized double bedrooms (1 King, 1 Queen, 1 double, 1 twin). 2 additional bathrooms.
Front reception room with 2 fireplaces, oak flooring and underfloor heating.
Fully renovated kitchen/family room with underfloor heating - stainless steel modern appliances, etc. TV with Sky and Netflix.
Laundry facilities in the basement.

Outdoor space: lovely 80 foot landscaped garden, south-facing for maximum sunshine. Plenty of space to sit outside with a book or a coffee, kick a ball or just relax. Summer house at the end of the garden - perfect kid/teenager hangout room with Xbox/DVD, rowing machine and table tennis. Side entry passage (for bike storage/etc.); front drive with off-street parking.

2900 SF (very good-sized for London!).
Our home is comfortable and well equipped. We have been in London for 15 years and are very happy to provide local tips if you need them.
