About our home

Come and experience the best of both worlds, in our spacious house on a quiet residential road in the middle of a vibrant neighbourhood and well connected to all that London has to offer.

Our home is well loved and beautifully designed, with a mix of Victorian architecture and vintage and modern furnishing. We have recently extensively renovated and restored our house, with a new kitchen extension, bifold doors leading directly to the garden, and a large loft extension with en-suite. The renovations are bespoke and the finishing is high-spec. The large and light-filled eat-in kitchen adjoins the stately double reception in an open concept plan. The kitchen has all brand new top of the line appliances, including Smeg American-style refrigerator and large range cooker with three ovens, butler sink, microwave and blenders, etc. as well as a kitchen island with breakfast bar, and a large extending table. The living room is spacious and comfortable, with a large bay window, plenty of seating, books, DVDs, CDs and lots of toys. There is a powder room/toilet with sink on the ground floor. Just up the stairs is the master bathroom, with underfloor heating, marble flooring, a large claw-foot tub with shower attachment, double-sink and walk-in rainfall shower. On the first floor is the master bedroom, with two large sash windows, a king-sized bed and built-in wardrobes, as well as the children's room with full-sized bunk beds, and of course, more toys! (We can also set up our travel cot and we have the bits to turn our Stokke Trip Traps back into high chairs.) The third bedroom is used as a quiet and comfortable study, but we have a good quality air mattress we can use here if necessary. And finally our large loft is like a self-contained studio apartment with a sofa bed and wardrobe and its own en-suite with walk-in rainfall shower. Our garden is a good size for London, with plenty of room for children to play, and a patio with table and chairs to enjoy a meal or drink after a long day of sight-seeing.

We are well connected by bus, and a five-minute walk from two train stations that can get you to Liverpool Street Station in just over ten minutes - from there you can the tube or train to anywhere in - or out of - London.

There's also lots to do in Hackney - great markets, restaurants, pubs, shops, galleries, cinemas, parks. Our neighbourhood of Clapton has especially exploded over the past few years, with loads of cool cafes and boutiques, as well as its own market (Chatsworth Road), all right on our doorstep. We are also within walking distance of hipster mecca Dalston and lovely Stoke Newington, as well as a short bus ride from Shoreditch, Columbia Road Market, Spitalfields, the list goes on. There's too much to do around here to list it all, but we have compiled a handy guide to help you navigate the area.
