Our farmhouse is set on five acres with glorious south facing views over the surrounding countryside. It is situated in a quiet semi-rural location and is within easy reach of Stratford upon Avon (20 minutes) with its fine restaurants, renowned theatres and river walks.
Our house was built in 1974 and is about 325 sq mts. We have four double bedrooms. The master bedroom with a 6ft bed has large glass doors which lead to a balcony that overlooks the countryside. There is a large en-suit with bath, twin basins, shower and steam room. Further accommodation includes house bathroom, formal lounge, snug lounge with large inglenook fireplace, large dining kitchen, laundry room. A sewing room and large office is also available for use. A car exchange is possible.
Surrounding the property is a patio area with a large expanse of lawn. There is direct access into open fields.
Furnishing and decor are to a high standard.
We are seeking an exchange for around three or four weeks. We would prefer NSW area of Australia but would consider other country options. A none simultaneous exchange is possible with our home being available for three weeks commencing middle of September 2021. All dates are negotiable, Also would consider a long term exchange for NSW area Australia between October 2021 and April 2022.
Garth and Kathy are both retired and are in our early seventies.
We have enjoyed several previous home exchanges. Garth is a retired finance director.
We enjoy travel and most outdoor activities. We are both non-smokers.
Stratford upon Avon is a well know Cotswold town. There are a large selection of restaurants as well as the RSC theatres and a plentiful selection of antique shops. There is easy access to all the Cotswold villages: Chipping Camden, Stow on the Wold, Morton in Marsh, Bourton on the Water. Various stately homes are also within easy reach. We use our nearby ancient village of Henley-in Arden for the pubs, restaurants and every day shopping.
Further on through the Cotswolds there are the university towns of Oxford and Cambridge. From our home London can be reach on high speed rail network in around 1 hour 30 minutes.
The medieval towns of York and the Yorkshire dales can be reached in around 2.30 hours. Bath with its classical buildings can be reached in around 1 hour thirty minutes. Further on there are the delightful counties of Somerset and Devon.
If large cities are your choice then Birmingham and Worcester a quite close by.
Paris is available from London via the channel tunnel. Various budget airlines fly from our local airport to all over Europe.
Birmingham international airport and railway station is within easy reach (around thirty minutes).
