About our home

3 bedroom, 2 bathroom (MES) house on secluded private road with stunning views over countryside and set in National Trust forest area. Potential to include 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom flat in central London (Notting Hill). The house is located on a private road surrounded by National Trust forest. It is situated on the top of a hill and has stunning views extending 20 + miles down over looking the ""patchwork quilt"" English countryside. It is very quiet but only 2 miles from the lovely town of Haslemere, which has all the amenities and a direct rail link to London (55 minutes). There are wonderful walking, hiking, horse and mountain biking trails which are accessed directly from the house. The house was built in the 1920s and situated over 3 floors, with beautiful views. The master bedroom is en suite. The house is very comfortable and fully equipped but more ""cosy"" than ""chic"". There is a nice outdoor eating area and we bbq often. As we are on the side of the hill, the garden is terraced onto two distinct levels with stairs between the two making it steep and if toddlers come to visit we watch them carefully. We also have a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment in central London (Notting Hill) which if we did a simultaneous exchange, or if we are away, could be made available too. * hiking and mountain biking (we have 3 adult bicycles available) Blackdown Forest and Devil's Punchbowl etc
* gastro pubs (e.g a Marco Pierre White pub and also one of the oldest pubs in the UK with an acclaimed restaurant)
* golf (many options)
* tennis in Haslemere
* spas
* polo (Cowdry Park 15 minutes drive)
* clay pidgeon shooting within walking distance (tuition and guns provided)
* horse back riding
* antiques and local auction house
* chalk stream fly fishing on the River Test (approximately 1 hour drive)

We're also only 20 miles from the coast.
