8 bedroom house set in 22 acres of its own land in the heart of the Cotswolds in Gloucestershire in 'an area of outstanding beauty' (there are 33 designations in England given that definition).
The house (originally built in the late 1800's) was completely renovated and extended in 2013.
The house is on the edge of the village of Box, which is a beautiful traditional Cotswold village (lots of old houses close together with little lanes and paths connecting them).
Nailsworth, the nearest town, is a 15 minute walk away. Nailsworth is a bustling, traditional Cotswold market town with a range of independently owned shops (notably Williams Kitchen - a famous deli, and Hobbs - a well-known bakery/coffee shop), as well as a farmers market offering local produce every Saturday.
Other famous Cotswold towns within 20 minutes drive are Tetbury and Cirencester (the 2nd largest city in England in Roman times), within 45 minutes drive are Bath (also famous for its Roman origins, particularly the baths!), Bristol and Cheltenham, and then an hour or so are Oxford and Stratford-Upon-Avon (the home of William Shakespeare).
There is a regular train service to London Paddington Station which takes 1 hr 15 minutes from nearby Kemble station.
Please note - We are currently landscaping the garden around the house. This will finish in May 2014 so ignore the rubble, mud and Diggers in the photos as they won't be there when you stay!
