About our home

I offer an attractive well looked after home. With beautiful views of the English countryside. From the front of the property the grand union canal and the back the river soar. It is a very peaceful area with a wonderful array of English wildlife on its doorstep. A pretty garden which I love sitting in watching birds or entertaining family and friends.

More about us

My name is Barbara I live with my two children. I have in the last few years travelled a lot to India, Thailand, China to name a few places. My children Jenny and Jack are now independant which gives me a great deal of freedom to explore our beautiful planet. I work from home as a succesfull artist and am hoping to find further inspiration in my travels. This is my first time exchanging homes and I am looking forward to it as I would appreciate a more personal feel when I travel.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

The house is five minutes easy access to Leicester city. Which has a huge choice of interest:art galleries, restaurants, clubs, museums. The local village Blaby is three minutes walk away. With local shops, pubs, horseriding, restaurants. As I live in the heart of England it is ideal to explore the country as we have superb access to London, Oxford, Yorkshire, Nottingham to name a few. The neighours and locals are friendly and helpful. My home offers the best of both worlds as I live in a beautiful country setting with plenty of peace and quite if you wish to retreat. Children have many choices locally for fun activities the space museaum bieng just one.
