About our home

Our 'apartment' is a three-bedroomed maisonette which we have made into a one bedroom with ensuite, with a lounge/study room in addition to the main living room/lounge, and a separate dining room. There is also a large central hallway, a kitchen with its own small eating area, and a recently renovated bathroom with bath/shower, large sink and toilet. Our maisonette has its own separate outside entrances to the front and rear of the property and its own garden area which is about 80ft by 30ft. It is very close to bus links or suburban train to London itself (Waterloo or Victoria stations), Wimbledon, Richmond-upon-Thames, Hampton Court or Kingston-upon-Thames. The entire maisonette is fully carpeted. It is located on the first (upper) floor in a brick building housing 3 other similar maisonettes, each with its own private garden. Our garden furniture and barbecue are available for your use.

Where is it?

New Malden is a sought-after suburban area with its own shopping, leisure and entertainment facilities, about 5 minutes away from Kingston-upon-Thames, and 15 minutes away from Wimbledon and Richmond-upon-Thames by car or bus. The suburban line train from New Malden to Waterloo takes about 20 minutes from station to station, and it is a 15 minute walk from our maisonette to the New Malden station. Bus links to the station or the other places mentioned are about 2 minutes walk from the maisonette. Our neighbourhood comprises mainly professional families, many of whom commute to central London for their work. The area is also known for its large natural parks (eg Richmond Park, Wimbledon Common) and is about 20 minutes' drive to Hampton Court or Wisley, the centre of the country's Royal Horticultural Society. Our maisonette is a few minutes away from the A3, and therefore provides easy and quick access to the southeast countryside.
