About our home

Our house is a Victorian era terraced house, with all modern amenities, in a quiet street close to the city centre. We have two good sized double bedrooms, one with king-sized double. A nursery and upstairs shower/toilet room and downstairs bathroom. A modern kitchen and cable tv, wireless internet etc.

More about us

I am Kieron, a teacher in my early thirties and Katryne my wife is on maternity leave taking care of our baby daughter and studying at home. I am British, Kat is Quebecoise and we need a base near Montreal so we can visit friends and family without intruding on them. We have not done a home exchange before. We would expect to arrange an exchange some way in advance in order to get to know our fellow exchangers via email or phone.

Where is it?

Excellent links to local and national transport, road, rail (London 2hours) and bus, a perfect base to explore historical England. Stoke is the capital of ceramics, home of famous names such as Wedgwood and Royal Doulton. An hour from Manchester, Birmingham and also the European capital of culture 2008 - Liverpool. Close by to the east is the stunning Peak District National Park, to the west Wales, both with fantastic opportunities for outdoor activities and with historical houses and castles to visit. 30 minutes away is Alton Towers, the Uk's biggest and most famous theme park.
