About our home

We adore vibrant, cultural, fun-loving Newcastle upon Tyne with its iconic bridges and historic Quayside. We can also offer you use of our holiday home in the coastal village of Beadnell on the stunning Northumberland coast - an area of outstanding beauty where golden, deserted beaches stretch for miles.
Back in Newcastle, there's a wide variety of different cultural, sporting and leisure activities that we can enjoy within easy reach of our beautiful home, which also has a third of an acre of garden, treehouse, trampoline and balcony view of the city. The friendliness of local people (Geordies) never ceases to amaze us. Newcastle has contemporary and traditional art museums, theatres, fantastic restaurants and the award-winning Sage music centre, not to mention the world-famous 'Hadrian's Wall', built by the Romans. And if that wasn't enough, we're only a 90-minute train ride to Scotland and the amazing city of Edinburgh which hosts the world's greatest festival during the month of August. Alternatively you can catch the train south to the historic city of York (just one hour away) or London (three hours). My wife and I work as a childcare entrepreneur and journalist respectively. We have three children (16, 9 and 4) and our house has a play room, music room, wi-fi, cable TV, HDTV and all the usual games consoles etc. We can offer the use of a car and bicycles during your stay here.
