About our home

Our home is a Grade II Listed Victorian townhouse overlooking a beautiful park. It is one of a row of 30 houses, all colored differently.

You enter the house through the living room which has an open working fireplace and high ceilings. To the rear there is a kitchen with utility room beyond. We have a small garden at the rear of the house filed with flowers - which is lovely to sit in.

On the first floor there is a double bedroom overlooking the park, a bathroom (with bath & shower) and a small third bedroom which has a double pull-out bed.

On the top floor, there is a further double bedroom, with ensuite shower room and small dressing area.

More about us

  1. We are Liz and Drew, a young couple in our late 20's. I am an Architect and Drew is a designer and we love living in a vibrant city and want to take advantage of this website to experience other cities and areas of countryside outside of the UK.

We have never done a home exchange before, but are excited to see where we could go, and hope that you will enjoy Nottingham as a visitor as much as we do living here.

Where is it?

The house overlooks a large park with children's play equipment and a practice basket ball court, there is a picturesque landscaped rest garden leading from the park.

On the other side of the park there is a market square which holds different markets throughout the week, selling local produce and bric-a-brac. On the square there is a brand new leisure centre which has a swimming pool, children's pool, gym, sauna and steam room.

Nottingham city centre is 5 minutes walk away. The nearest airport is East Midlands which is 30 minutes drive or a 45 minute bus journey which takes you to the city centre. The train station is 20 minutes walk from the house with fast routes around England (London 2 hours, Manchester 2 hours, Birmingham 1 hour 15mins).

Nottingham is renowned for the castle & Robin Hood, the Lace Market, the University and surrounding countryside: Namely the Peak District, Sherwood Forest & Derbyshire Dales. The city has great shopping, many fine restaurants and lively night life.
