About our home

Our home is a 3 bedroom, 3 storey terrace house in a quiet cul-de-sac, 15 minute walk into Oxford city centre. The ground floor has a front room with small open fireplace and an open plan kitchen/dining/lounge with sliding glass doors to atrium and garden. The lounge area has 4 recliner armchairs (movie style) with large TV and piano. We have Netflix, Amazon Prime and Alexa. The 1st Floor has two bedrooms (one with a double bed and the other currently used as a study) and a family bathroom with shower and bath. We also have a single mattress we can put in another room. The top floor has a large ensuite and main bedroom with a king bed, Juliette balcony and views over Hinksey Park. We have a lovely garden with water features and a studio. Children are welcome – we have toys, games etc. Our house is pet-friendly (we sadly no longer have a cat but would be happy to look after your pets). There is space in the garden for children or dogs to play, the park behind the house offers walks and there are walks into the countryside across the bridge over the lake at the end of the street.

Our house backs on to Hinksey Park which has a large lake, a small boating lake (remote control boats), outdoor heated swimming pool (April to September), children's splash park, children's playground, table tennis tables and free tennis courts. There is a community centre at the end of the street with a Sunday farmers’ market (organic foods and artisan breads etc).

We are a 15 minute walk into the centre of town or a 5 mins walk to the river and a 15 mins walk into town along the Isis (Thames Path) River with river trips, paddle boats, punts etc. Within easy walking distance are shops, university colleges, cafes, pubs, river walks, nature reserves and an ice rink. There are two convenience stores, and several coffee shops and pubs within a few minutes walk. The new Westgate Centre for up-market shopping is a 15 min walk. Oxford Station is a 25 mins walk or 5 mins drive/bus trip (London in 1 hour). London and Heathrow buses are a 15 mins walk/5 mins bus or taxi ride (bus to Heathrow takes 80 mins). Hinksey Heights Golf Club is a 10 minute drive, or 10 minute walk across fields.

As well as the many famous university colleges, museums and parks to visit, Oxford has hundreds of cafes, pubs and restaurants offering every cuisine. There's also plenty for children - the Story Museum, Alice's Shop, the Natural History and the Pitt Rivers museums. Oxford is also convenient for the many beautiful villages of the Cotswolds and other areas of natural beauty.
