About our home

This stunning barn, situated on an old farm, is located in the beautiful Oxfordshire Cotswolds. The property enjoy's several acres of fabulous private space and tranquil countryside. Radcot Lodge Barn is a stunning holiday barn sleeping 12-14 set in the beautiful Oxfordshire Cotswolds, convenient for Oxford, Cheltenham, Burford and London (75 miles away). Perfect for work, rest or play!

Internally, the accommodation is open plan and presented in a contemporary style with some amazing and original features. Plasma TVs and free wireless internet access are installed throughout.

It has been lovingly restored with its original features exposed. Cosy wood-burners and the open plan living area has been specifically designed to offer superior accommodation to which guests return time and time again!

Stone flooring and dining for 12-14 persons make this barn a wonderful choice for families and group celebrations alike.

Externally, the property enjoys several acres of fabulous private space and tranquil countryside. The hamlet of Radcot is a magical place, an excellent holiday base to explore the area, great for a family get together to relax and re-charge the batteries!

Downstairs there is an entrance through to large open plan living space Dining Area with large table and chairs to accommodate up to 12 people, with wood burning stove. There is a living Area with three large sofas (including sofa-bed*) additional armchairs, large flatscreen TV with Freeview, DVD player, wood burning stove.

Kitchen, an enormous room with lovely, unspoilt views across the Cotswolds countryside. Fully equipped with AGA, additional gas stove, dishwasher, large fridge freezer, washing machine, microwave, plus kitchen table and chairs. Door to courtyard garden, recently replanted (Nov 09)
Bedroom Five is a large room with two single beds, wardrobe and views towards countryside.

Upstairs there is a master Bedroom, another very large room, with King Size Bed, clothes rail, chest of drawers, additional single bed. Ensuite Shower Room with shower, WC and washbasin. Bedroom Two (at the other end of this very large and long floor!) with King Size bed, clothes rail, chest of drawers. Bedroom Three with double bed (limited access from one side of the bed) clothes rail, plus additional single bed. Bedroom Four with two single beds and hanging rail

Outside the property enjoys a private and enclosed courtyard to the rear, plus a huge open space to the front, with open views across countryside beyond. Ideal for 'spreading out'!

The property is located in southern Oxfordshire and is convenient for Oxford and the Oxfordshire Cotswolds, including Burford, Lechlade and areas beyond. Nearby are a host of activities to appeal to all including the Cotswold Wildlife Park, Kelmscott Manor (William Morris) and then further attractions include Blenheim Palace, Stratford upon Avon, Bath, Tetbury and the Cotswolds Water Park. It is particularly suitable location for those people travelling from the south east of England.

Steeped in history, rich in heritage and awash with natural beauty, the Oxfordshire Cotswolds are a charming blend of bustling market towns, picturesque villages, breathtaking natural scenery and over 6,000 years of history.

Whatever the time of year, the Oxfordshire Cotswolds offers a lively calendar of festivals and special events. As well as all the exciting large scale events, it's the smaller community events - the village fetes and fairs that seem to fill every summer weekend, the open gardens, local guided walks, exhibitions and performances by local groups that really give you a true feel of just what wonderfully rich experiences the area has to offer.

Walking, cycling, swimming, hot air ballooning, watersports, horse riding, shooting, fishing, golf... the list goes on! It's all here in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds and set against a backdrop of outstanding natural beauty. From riverside strolls to more energetic hikes across the rolling countryside, there are more than 500 miles of footpaths to enjoy, including long distance trails like the Thames Path and the Oxfordshire Way.

Located in the heart of England, the Oxfordshire Cotswolds is served by a comprehensive network of national and international road, rail and air links. The Oxfordshire Cotswolds is served by excellent links to the A34 and M40, providing easy access to London, Birmingham and the remainder of the national motorway network. Both London Heathrow and Birmingham International airports are within an hour's drive and can be reached by car, bus and rail.
