About our home

Our home is a beautiful old farmhouse with modern facilities, it is on the very edge of the Lake District giving the house stunning views from the rear of the property. It has two reception rooms and a large kitchen(all have beams). One reception room is cosy with a rustic fireplace, the other has large windows which look out to a wonderful view of the Lake District and also has French doors opening onto the garden with patio.
The house has two double bedrooms and a single bedroom upstairs with the downstairs study having a single bed. We have an upstairs bathroom with a corner bath, and the downstairs bathroom has a shower - both have toilets and a sink.

Where is it?

Situated at the edge of the lake district with wonderful views of the valley. The Lake District is easily accessed by car, with lakes and mountains to explore. We live in a very small village with no facilities but the small town of Cockermouth is 5 miles away. It has many cafes, nice restaurants and lots of small shops.
We are also situated 20 minutes drive from the coastal areas of Cumbria. There are also country walks from the house without having to use your car.
A car essential, as public transport is very limited.
