About our home

We live in a large, converted chapel, on the edge of a small village in the Peak District National Park. Our home has many original features including stain glassed windows and wood panelling. Part of the house is open plan with full height ceilings and lots of light and there is also a cosy sitting room and a formal dining room both with amazing views across the hills. There is a large, well appointed kitchen-diner. We have underfloor heating and wood burners.

There are four bedrooms. Two are double bedrooms (one en suite) and two are singles.

There is a garden on all sides including beautiful views across the hills, a seating area with a BBQ and a climbing frame and sandpit. The small village has a playing field with play facilities for children.
.
There are great walks straight from the door. We are a 20 minute drive from Chatsworth and Lyme Park - two of the larges stately homes in England. We are a five minute drive or one hour walk across the hills from the historic village of Castleton with its caverns, castle and cosy pubs. The spa town of Buxton with its Opera House, Georgian Crescent, hotels and restaurants is a 15 minute drive.

Manchester airport is a 45 minute drive and Manchester City centre is an hour by car or train. London is three hours by train.

Car swap (Fiat Panda) available.
