We live in the beautiful, green, hilly village of Peaslake in Surrey (where the London Olympics cycling took place). Our home and surroundings are relaxing, comfortable and peaceful. We hear the sweet singing of birds and the breeze dancing in the trees. You will feel chilled out and very happy staying here.
Our home is fully equipped with all mod cons: wifi, smart TVs, kitchen appliances: washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, hob, 2 ovens, fridge/freezer, electric juicer, smoothie maker, waffle iron, you name it, we have it. There are three bedrooms, one bathroom, kitchen and chill out lounge with a TV, separate lounge with wood burning stove, TV, separate dining room and outside, the house is surrounded by wide terraces, gardens, separate lawn area, private parking for several cars and immediate views of hills, horses and sheep.
Guildford is our main university town and the birth town of the author Lewis Caroll (Alice in Wonderland) and is 15 minutes drive away. Peaslake is ideally situated between London and Brighton in the heart of English countryside. Our home is set amongst hills and has stunning views of the countryside. Peaslake is a quaint English village and is a well-known and popular tourist destination. It lies in an area of outstanding natural beauty, attracting walkers, cyclists, horse riders and golfers, as we are surrounded by the North Down hills with woods and The Hurtwood Forest and many golf courses. It is the focal point for mountain bikers. Shere is a stunning village 2 miles down the road and is known as the one of most beautiful villages in England. London Heathrow and London Gatwick airports are 35 minutes car drive from home.
Epsom and Sandown horse racecourses are both 30 minutes car drive.
Wimbledon is 40 minutes car drive.
London takes 35-40 minutes by train from Guildford mainline train station. Or 45-60 minutes by car.
Visiting the south coast is easy by car or train. Brighton is 50 minutes drive; Portsmouth harbour is 60 minutes and Southampton is 75 minutes.
Our home is a great central point to tour the counties of Southern England such as Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Gloucestershire, Cotswolds, Wiltshire, Kent, Sussex, Dorset, Devon and Cornwall.
You could also combine your stay and visit Scotland, Ireland or Wales or take 1 hour flights to other European countries and visit Paris, Brussels, Madrid, Amsterdam or fly to Geneva and go skiing.
