About our home

Our vacation home has just been completely renovated so everything is new and pristine.
The downstairs is open plan and it has three double bedrooms upstairs two with double beds and the master bedroom with kingsize bed. The garden is large, fully enclosed and south facing so a real little sun trap. There are outdoor electric heaters and a chiminea for the cooler evenings and plenty of outdoor seating. It has a gas Bbq for alfresco dining. There is a smart 55inch tv in the lounge area and also TVs in a couple of the bedrooms. We also have excellent WIFI. The house has fantastic sea views and is situated in a beautiful little village on the north coast of Ireland. It is ideally situated for golf breaks,...we are 3 miles from Royal Portrush Golf Club Home of the British Open 2019 and ranked 15th in the world! Also ideal for Game of Thrones tours, or sightseeing the wonderful sights in the area like the Giants Causeway and Dunluce castle not forgetting a trip to the Bushmills distillery! It is available for non simultaneous swaps or points.

More about us

  1. We are an Irish couple in our 40s with 2 grown up boys who usually do not travel with us.

  2. John is an engineer and Jules runs her own Company. We love our home which is situated in a sought after village in the cotswolds with only about 260 residents. Our holiday home which is also available to swap is in the picturesque village in Portballintrae on the north coast of Ireland close to Royal Portrush golf club no15 in the world.

  3. Love to travel so will consider anywhere so please get in touch. You can email me

Where is it?

Portballintrae is a sleepy little village with a quaint beach set in a small cove which is ideal for kids. They will spend hours fishing in the rock pools! There is a village shop, a wine bar, a hotel and the boat club which has a very popular bar so you don't have to walk far for food or drinks. The golf club also has a bar and restaurant both with amazing views and an excellent choice on the menu. Very well priced too. The next village Bushmills is an easy 30min stroll and has the choice of three great restaurants and several coffee shops and fish and chip shops as well as art galleries, craft shops, a couple of butcher shops, a deli, chemist, several grocery stores etc so you really don't need to venture any further for all your shopping needs. Coleraine is a 15min drive and has several large Supermarkets - Sainsbury's, Asda, Tescos and even a small Marks and Spencer food store. The Giants Causeway is a 45min walk by Runkerry beach which is popular with surfers. It is a beautiful area with lots to do. There are several top class golf courses in the area and there are golfers from all over the world visiting during the summer months. There are numerous Game of Thrones tours as a lot of the filming has been done in the area. It is only an hour from Belfast and about 45 mins from Derry so two cities within easy reach.
