Just 6 miles from Hay on Wye, the 'Town of Books', y Dyffryn cottage is in a beautiful village with rural views and walks. The largest towns are Hereford, 25 miles and Brecon 22 miles. The cottage is ideal for walkers as it is situated near the Black Mountains, Brecon Beacons and the Begwyns. The cottage has 3 bedrooms, bathroom with bath and shower, TV with Sky, large living room and modern kitchen with washing machine and dishwasher. With a very large garden, the cottage is ideal for families - unfortunately not suitable for the elderly or toddlers as there is a spiral staircase to the bedrooms - couples with friends and groups. There is a lovely pub across the road that sells traditional ales and excellent pub food, apart from that, there are no other shops and the nearest town is Hay 0n Wye.
If you enjoy walking this is the ideal location and if you want to explore the rest of Wales, it's situated only a 2 hours drive to the sea.
As said above, great for walking, horseriding, mountain views, exploring the countryside of Wales. Painscastle is close to the boarder of Wales and England.
My wife and I are retired and we had our own graphic design agency for many years. Our interests are golf, walking, visiting new places, art, and having spent 10 years working in Germany in our earlier careers, speak fluent German.
