About our home

A recently renovated 3 bedroom semi-detached period house in Epsom - a small market town in the suburbs of southwest London. It's on a quiet street, 10 mins from the town centre and train station. The house has 2 double bedrooms - one with an ensuite shower room; a children's bedroom with either twin singles or a single and a cot; and a family bathroom upstairs. Downstairs there is an open-plan kitchen/diner; a toilet/utility room and a separate living room with sofas, TV etc. There is a small garden with patio, sandpit, BBQ and lawn, and a drive with two parking spaces.

There is easy travel to central London (35 mins by train) and we are very close to lots of family- friendly activities (cinema, kid's farm, zoo and theme park, parks, swimming pool, soft play etc) and the great cycling and walking, National Trust properties and cosy pubs of the Surrey Hills.

Neighbourhood

Epsom is a self-contained market town, with a shopping centre, supermarkets, cafes, pubs and restaurants, a cinema, swimming pool, soft play centre and several parks within a 10 minute walk from our house.

Within a 10 minute drive, there is Hobbledown children's farm and adventure playground; Chessington World of Adventures (zoo and theme park); Epsom race course (home of the Derby) and golf course.

Within a 20 - 30 minute drive, there's Box Hill (venue for the Olympic cycling road race) Leith Hill; Ranmore Common and Headley Heath; Wimbledon tennis venue; National Trust properties Polesden Lacey; Hatchlands; Morden Hall Park and Claremont Gardens; RHS Wisley; Brooklands Motor museum and race track; Denbies vineyard; and Twickenham rugby stadium

And 30 mins away by train (4 trains an hour to/from Waterloo and 2 trains an hour to/from Victoria) and 13 miles by car (which can take different amounts of time dependent on traffic!) is all that central London has to offer in terms of museums, galleries, shopping, theatre and sight-seeing. Our house is about a 30 min drive from both Heathrow and Gatwick airports too.

Buzzy restaurants
Epsom has a few family-run local restaurants and lots of the usual chains (Pizza Express, Cafe Rouge etc)
Cool bars
There are a couple of pubs we'd recommend in Epsom; a few nice country pubs a short drive away and plenty of cool bars in London
Retail therapy
There are lots of High Street chain shops in Epsom - and good shopping in nearby Kingston Upon Thames or in central London
