“As always absolutely lovely Thanks to Plym and family for great weekend”
“Plym & Tony thank you for a second stay, this time in the coach house. We weathered out the storm though sadly a few old old trees came down on this lovely property. We played lots of silly games by the fire and did a fabulous coastal walk from Tinatgel to Boscastle and back on the bus. We also walked to the local pub and back having to clamber over fallen trees along the way. Plym and Tony couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating. When the wifi was low the kids revised in the study in the big house. Thank you both of you from The Dickinson's & The Richardsons”
“Well, what a fabulous venue the Old Rectory (and Coach House) was for a group of 20 old friends to catch up, chill out and celebrate a belated 60th birthday. Nestling in lovely grounds it’s understated elegance and charming sense of faded grandeur is as comforting as a favourite pair of old slippers. The Aga in the well-stocked kitchen is the heart of the home, the bedrooms are lovely and where else could you sit 20 people down in the same room for dinner and still have glasses and crockery to spare. The main lounge was big enough for all twenty of us to sit comfortably in the evenings for games and entertainment and the open log fires were a real treat. Plym has been a fantastic hostess all the way through, easy to contact, extremely helpful and understanding of our needs and going the extra mile to make sure we were welcome. She was also a brilliant guest in our own home. I would highly recommend the Old Rectory and Coach House to all you swappers and I hope we may be back ourselves in the future ”
“This trip could not have been hosted better by Plym and Tony. It really was a magical stay that all the family will remember for a very long time. Thank you!!!”
“We stayed in the very spacious (and historic ) 5 bedroom coach house which is surrounded by lovely (and huge!) gardens.. with access to a swimming pool ( refreshingly cool!)in its own walled garden Log fire burned well in the dining room on rainy nights and we watched England beat Denmark in the TV room . Masses of great books so dont bring your own Beds v comfortable too”
“We had a wonderful week staying at Plym and Tony’s Coach House. Great location for exploring the North Devon and Cornwall coastline. The house was perfect for us and our two toddlers, lots of space for them to play safely both inside and out. Sadly too cold to swim this time but the pool looked idyllic! ”
“What a treasure!! This farmhouse was the epitome of warmth and comfort and we only wish we could have stayed much, much longer. Plym was a delightful host and a treasure trove of information. The whole complex of old stone buildings surrounded by trees teaming with birdlife was brilliant. While too cold to use the shared pool, this would be delightful in summer. There is no doubt in our minds that we will be back, to explore more of the Devon coast Thanks so much Plym. ”
“The perfect party venue! Let’s start with our super host Plym. She was quick to reply to all our emails and messages. She was relaxed and friendly. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for the weekend. The venue is amazing. We were gathering to celebrate a ‘big’ birthday, with family and friends travelling from near and far. The main house is the perfect base. Big country kitchen with warm Aga In the heart of the home. All the equipment you need to entertain. Spacious living areas, plenty of bathrooms, comfy bedrooms and a circular flow with two staircases meaning you end up back in the heart of the home. Throw into that a huge snooker table, a piano, a huge dining table and you get the perfect home for entertaining and relaxing. To extend the accommodation, we also stayed in the Coach house. Another warm, relaxed abode. More spacious bedrooms, living room and vast kitchen diner for relaxed entertaining. The grounds are delightful. Lush, green, pretty. Walled gardens, pretty flower beds, groomed lawns. Although it was too wet and cold the weekend we visited, the swimming pool in the summer would be a fantastic addition. The barn was the perfect party venue. With everything you could need. Decked out with fairy lights, candles and swaths of tulle - it was picture perfect. Thank you Plym for making my special birthday weekend truly amazing. We so hope to be back, year on year!”
“Don't expect modern luxury at The Rectory but you will get a wonderful set of 3 buildings with lots of character and masses of space and acres of garden. Plym and Tony are delightful hosts who are around to help with whatever you need. Some of us swam in the heated swimming pool in mid-September; there is a billiards room . . . etc. Thank you Plym and Tony”
“Absolutely stunning property in one of the most beautiful parts of England. We felt very welcome with host Plym and her husband being around. We can't wait to come back!”
“It is the most beautiful place, with a breathtaking property. The owners are very kind and easy going. We felt very welcomed and felt at home at once. We were a petty of 21. Ages from 9-50 and we all loved it. Beautiful beaches close by, very good pub in walking distance. Very nice pool area. We strongly recommend this place! ”
“The stay at Plym's house was very comfortable and pleasant, despite the rainy weather of November. When we arrived at the house we used to comment on the day and prepare the dinner. We felt at home. It must be said that the first day it took us a bit to find it because it was isolated. Fortunately, his son came to Pyworthy to meet us. We sent each other some pictures, and I hope they come to my home soon. Thanks a million!”
“We had a wonderful time in this gorgeous ramshackle house, celebrating our mother's 88th, so we were a large party ages from 6 to 88. We were made to feel hugely welcome by Plym and Anthony. Th children had a fabulous time playing hide & seek in the house and the adults spent a large amount of time by the fireside and around the kitchen table. Its a beautiful corner of Devon. Plym recommended a wonderful coastal / canal walk . We would highly recommend this house for family get togethers.”
“Plym and Anthony were really wonderful hosts and we have fond memories of our week in Cornwall. The accommodation was homely and very comfortable.”

“Plym and Tony were great guests, they got to relax after busy days gallivanting around the city. exactly what this place is about. They were very respectful of all aspects of the apartment.”
“It was only a short points based visit and we felt privileged to have the ‘Queen’ of LHS staying with us. We were fortunate to be able to meet in person and what a delight Plym and her friend were. We learnt so much and it gave us so much confidence to share our main residence. It doesn’t get much better than this an honour indeed - we will definitely be visiting one of their homes either in Devon or in Spain next year i hope.”
“Plym and her party were frequent swappers and charming guests who left our place in good condition. We would be pleased to see them again”

“Plym and Tony overnighted with me on their way down to their home in Spain. They are a charming couple who mucked in helping with the open fire and preparing the evening meal. Lovely guests whom I hope to meet again.”
“Easy guests to host, hope we might see you in Spain soon. ”
“Lovely guests who are so kind and interesting. Very easy people to be around and have around. Seasoned hosts themselves; I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to other hosts. It was like having friends to stay. x”
