About our home

Our home can be found on a residential estate on the hill overlooking Cadgwith Cove. It has been recently renovated...from a 1970's bungalow to a contemporary family home. We have a large garden, there is a summer house (currently being built). We have chickens for fresh eggs, a fruit patch and poly tunnel. We would be looking for anyone staying, to be able to feed the chickens and of course help themselves to the eggs, fruit and veg! We also have 2 cats.
Cadgwith Cove is a working fishing cove where the fisherman winch their fishing boats up and down the pebble beach. There is a pub with cornish singing on a friday night, and a lovely cafe nestled in the cove, also a gift shop. In recent years Cadgwith has become a popular holiday destination for people looking for a relaxing holiday, it is close to many beaches on The Lizard Peninsular and further a field, the beautiful south west coast path and an array of family attractions.

** Please note ** There is ongoing renovation work which is a separate unit to the house, downstairs in the property. It does not affect the accommodation offerred for swap. Any building work will cease while people are staying. Happy to send photos on request.

Neighbourhood

Cadgwith is a sleepy cove with thatched cottages. The cove comes alive in the summer with local fishing competitions, regattas and folk singing. It's great access for the south west coast path and any water sport activities can be found on The Lizard Peninsular.
Ruan Minor is the next village, it is a short walk from our home, either through the cove or through the pretty valley, this takes about 15 minutes on foot or a couple of minutes in the car. There is a shop, church, school and local market on a thursday.
There are not many crowds on The Lizard, however it is popular with tourists in the summer holidays, walkers, campers and families. There is something for everyone to come and enjoy!
