About our home

Our home is a beautiful granite barn conversion that cleverly combines a contemporary interior with a traditional style. It is located near to West Cornwall's beautiful beaches at Porthcurno, Sennen and Marazion along with several hidden coves with clear, blue sea for swimming and stunning, scenic coastal paths.
The house is on two levels. Downstairs there is a large, open concept kitchen/diner, library area and sitting room with a piano and log burner. There is also a double bedroom with ensuite wet room.
Upstairs is the master bedroom with a king sized bed with views over the courtyard, private garden and fields. This bedroom has an open beam ceiling, wall mounted flat screen TV, dressing area and ensuite with "raindrop" shower. There is also a twin bedroom with open beam ceiling, a children`s room with bunk beds and views overlooking the sundeck and private garden, and a family bathroom with large whirlpool bath with hand held shower, wash basin and toilet.
Outside is a driveway with parking for two cars, a tiered garden with a sun deck, outdoor furniture, and purpose built BBQ. At the rear of the property there is a courtyard with lovely pond and fountain.

Neighbourhood

Our home is a two minute drive (or pretty five minute walk by footpath through farmland) to the lovely village of St Buryan, located close to the coast in west Cornwall. The village is clustered around its fourteenth century church, and has all necessary amenities including post office, well stocked shop, petrol station, pub serving meals and a primary school.

West Cornwall is a magical mix of golden beaches and rocky coves, of towering cliffs and lonely moorland, of flower-filled countryside and friendly towns and villages, all of which combine to make this famous 'Granite Kingdom' of the Lands End Peninsula one of the finest holiday destinations in Europe. West Cornwall is also home to a surviving ancient landscape of neolithic chamber tombs, Bronze Age standing stones and stone circles. West Cornwall's magnificent peninsula is enclosed within 36 miles of coastline which runs from St Ives wwith it`s famous artist colony, in the north to Penzance and Mounts Bay in the south to create an island atmosphere without the isolation. And West Cornwall's open secret, the crystal-clear ocean.

The Minack open air theatre, perched above clear turquoise sea, and St Michae’s Mount near Penzance, are only 20 minutes away. There are magnificent beaches at nearby Sennen (with it`s famous surfing beach) and Porthcurno, and for art-lovers, the Tate St Ives, Newlyn Art Gallery and Penlee House Gallery in Penzance are on the doorstep.
