About our home

The Sheiling, Strachur, Loch Fyne

A great alternative to a hotel and just over an hour from Glasgow City Centre, this detached, secluded property is ideally set in a well kept garden right on the lochside and has fabulous panoramic views of loch Fyne and the mountains beyond — perfect for a honeymoon, a romantic break or an active family holiday.

Imagine waking up in the morning to that magnificent view, then having a barbecue in the garden during the day, spotting wild life from the sun lounge and rounding it off by sitting in the evening watching the sunset by a cosy fire! You will not need to go anywhere to appreciate the beauty and tranquillity of Scotland at its best.

The house has been recently renovated to a high standard and is tastefully furnished and well equipped for a relaxed and comfortable holiday.

Should you wish to do some touring you are well placed here to explore some of the most scenic areas of Scotland. Locally, the Cowal peninsula is one of Scotland’s best kept secrets with lovely walks and stunning scenery and the ‘Arrochar Alps’ are within easy driving distance.

Those who wish to eat out will find a varied selection of excellent restaurants within easy travelling distance and The Creggans Inn, famous for its food, is within walking distance.
