Our 5 bed Edwardian house is a lovely comfortable family home. We have recently started renovating the property from the inside out with a lovely new boiler and hotwater system, which means the house is always cosy.
During Winter, the Aga range cooker is brilliant as it is always ready to make a cup of tea or jacket potato. We love to cook (and have lots and lots of cookery books if you fancy a nosy) plus everything you need to cook gourmet meals, food processor, kitchenaid etc.
The house faces South, with two bright spacious living rooms to the front of the house which overlook Seaford Head golf course. There is also a playroom / conservatory to the rear of the house, with access to the large rear garden and trampoline. The kitchen / dining room comfortably seats 8 and is open plan ...a must for family living! There is also a utility room with 9kg washing machine and tumble dryer.
Upstairs the decor is a tad dated in some of the rooms, however the girls bedroom at the front has been updated and looks great. We hope to have Archies room updated in the next few months, it sleeps 3 in a high sleeper with pull out sofa bed. There is also a guest bedroom with double sofa bed, a single room and a further double bedroom.
With 4 children aged 10, 7, 5 and 3, we are well equipped for a family exchange, bikes and scooters are available also, plus cot, high chair etc if necessary. Plenty of books, games and a Wii mean the kids shoukdn't get bored, but both televisions are freeview equipped, with DVD's too, plus access to Lovefilm.
From our house, you can literally cross the road and be on Seaford Head almost immediately. From there, you can walk to the famous 'Seven Sisters' and Beachy head, which is a beautiful cliff top walk.
Seaford is a bustling town, with a long sweep of pebbly beach which goes all the way to Newhaven where the Ferry to Dieppe in France departs twice daily. Brighton is just 25 minutes away by car in one direction, with Eastbourne 20 minutes the other direction.
If you like the outdoors, there are many places locally to walk or cycle, with the seven sisters country park just 5 minutes drive away. There are also some great walks along the south downs way, to the gorgeous villages of alfriston and Jevington, with great pub lunches available along the way.
If you fancy going slightly further afield, there is a direct train from Seaford to London Victoria which takes approx 90 mins.
