Our home is lovely large home with four bedrooms (two with single beds and two with king size beds but we have additional blow up mattresses if needed). We have two bathrooms (one with a shower over), en-suite shower room and toilet downstairs. Lovely and large kitchen with plenty of cutlery, glasses, crockery and utensils, tall fridge and tall freezer and dining table with six chairs (but could squeeze eight round the table with the extra chairs available), utility room with full-size dishwasher, under counter fridge, washing machine, tumble dryer and larder, large lounge with 40 inch TV and seating for seven people, playroom with lots of toys and dress up clothes, garage which we use as a bit of a gym/storage room that can be accessed from inside the house, uptairs to the weight/DVD/workout gym, the second bathroom (no shower) and fourth bedroom (the second king size bedroom) with football/games table and a load of board games. Parking outside the house for two cars. Rear garden with patio, decking, BBQ, trampoline and rabbit hutch (happy to put the rabbits and cat into somewhere to be looked after during your stay - unless you/your children would like to look after them as part of your stay).
There is no lawn at the back or front of our house, but there are plenty of lovey walks (and a fantastic cycle trail very close to the house that takes in some gorgeus scenery and if you can take the five mile trip there is lovely pub that does gorgeous food as your treat! Although you will have to cycle back again after!! Or just get there by car :-)) There is a large play park with fields in the village and another smaller park with a meadow in the village. Only fifteen minutes from the market town of Blandford and ten minutes the other way gets you to the smaller town of Sturminster Newton. Half and hour or so gets you to the gorgeou beaches at Sandbanks, or forty minutes gets you to the lovely seaside town of Weymouth with the fantastic Sealife Centre. Two and a half hours from London, or drive the forty minutes to Bournemouth and get a tran into London instead.
Our home is in North Dorset, so easy access to Somerset, Wiltshire and Hampshire.
Although we live in a quiet village (with gorgeous views), we are on a main road. You don't really notice the road from inside the house once you get used to it, but you need to keep an eye on your little ones (they are completely safe to play in the back garden though as it is completely enclosed - there are a couple of small steps though in the garden so you would need to keep an eye on very young children/toddlers though).
We could have a car available to use, but I am not sure how the insurance would work on this. If this is a must then I can make some enquiries.
