About our home

We have a large four bedroom house situated on a farm with magnificent views over the Firth of Forth towards Edinburgh. The house has four goodsized bedrooms, each benefitting from the splendid views. There is an extremely large lounge with adjoining dining room. Both have full height patio doors south facing towards Edinburgh. The kitchen/family room is fully equipped with granite worktops. There are 2 full sized bathrooms, one being en-suite to the master bedroom, and a downstairs "cloakroom" It is set in . 75 acres, with approx 140 trees/shrubs planted around it. We have fields around the garden with cows and sheep. Our neighbours have 2 sheep who love to be fed.

We are looking for a minimum 3 bedroom property within 6 hours drive of NYC. Our dates are tied to 2 weeks from 12th July but we can stay in a hotel for a couple of nights either end. We promise you won't be disappointed & we'll throw in some smoked salmon, a good bottle of scotch and maybe even a friendly haggis!

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

We are just 10 minutes from St Andrews, which is a beautiful historic town. There are wonderful cathedral and castle ruins, well worth exploring. The world famous Old Course where the 2000 Open was held, is in St Andrews. There are no less than 15 excellent golf courses within 20 minutes of our house, all worth trying out. We are situated in the East Neuk of Fife and just five minutes from our house is the fishing village of Pittenweem, which has a daily fish market. If you like fish this is the place to come for the freshest haddock ever. Ten minutes away is Elie which has excellent beaches and a variety of watersports. Kingsbarns is just 5 minutes away and has a lovely beach with great rock pools for kids to play in (& if you're lucky you may even catch your very own lobster).
