About our home

Built in 1750 our detached stone house is fully modernised and comfortably decorated. Lounge, Kitchen and family/dining room plus 3 king-size bedrooms (2 further single beds can be added if required). There is one family bathroom upstairs with bath and power shower plus a small cloakroom with toilet and sink downstairs. A patio and large garden to the rear with seating area and BBQ. Situated in the picturesque village of Gartmore within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. We have a Local pub, village shop, beautiful country walks, local public golf course, cycle hire, fishing and horse riding nearby. For the adventurous there's Go Ape with Europe's longest zip wire only a 5 minute drive away in Aberfoyle. Off-road driving or Clay Pidgeon shooting can be found near Perth or take a walk along the shores of Loch Lomond, climb Ben Lomond, Ben A'an or Ben Venue for spectacular views and if the weather's good try the water sports centre near Kinlochard (you can hire a wet suit!). For the less outdoors type there's plenty of shorter walks with lots of good pubs, cafes and restaurants in the nearby villages. We are within easy driving distance of Stirling (25 mins), Glasgow (50 mins), Perth (1 hr) or Edinburgh (1.5 hrs) where you will find Castles, Cathedrals and History galore plus great shopping and world class restaurants. If you love the Arts then Edinburgh in August is the place for you as it's home to the world's largest International Arts Festival. There's music, theatre, comedy and dance at hundreds of venues across the city - from early morning until late at night. Or just wander through the old town, soak up the atmosphere and watch the free street performers.
