About our home

A modern comfortably funished cottage style house with decorative ceiling beams comprising a living/dining room with open inglenook fireplace, breakfast/ kitchen with all appliances integrated in oak units, downstairs cloakroom, on upper floor two double bedrooms, one study and one beautifully fitted ( we think) bathroom with shower over bath.
Small, private, well stocked garden accessed from the living/dining room with service access from adjacent mews.
One private parking space in mews.
Grandfather clock and two other chiming clocks can be silenced if wished. Dining table accommodates four people with ease.
The house is located next to the Old Town of Stratford-upon-Avon being 10-15 mins walk on level ground to the Town centre which contains restaurants of all types and most of the main High Street Shops.
The Royal Shakespeare Theatre ( in temporary, award winning, accommodation)is located abour 10 mis walk away.
The Cotswold Hills with their mellow stone villages are easily accessed by car.
The Town has a Railway Station which connects with the surrounding towns and Birmingham which is one hour distant.
Warwick Parkway Railway Station which connects with London Marleybone is 15/20 minutes away by car or taxi-cab.
The house is set in a developement of similiar properties in an attractive landscaped setting 5 minutes walk from the River Avon and all the recreational activities which this provides for boating and river walks.

The neighbourhood is quiet and it is readily accesible to Town and country. There are very few young families in the surrounding houses.

We are a professional couple just about to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary. I am a semi -retired Architect and my wife is a Police Officer.

I enjoy attempting communication in French. I was Architect in Residence for 2 years during the renovation of 18 Place Vendome when the building was owned by International Westminster Bank.

We both greatly enjoy cities, historic buildings and museums.
We have been known to have taken the odd glass of wine between visits.
