Our beautiful, Edwardian, Arts & Crafts, home is situated on the outskirts of Stroud, Gloucestershire, in the middle of the Cotswold countryside. The house and area have a country-feel but are very convenient for local services. There are plenty of outdoor activities nearby (walking, golf, sailing, horse-riding), plus a cinema, pubs, restaurants, multiple supermarkets and an excellent, award-winning farmers' market in Stroud.
For more shopping and culture we are 30mins drive from Cheltenham, Gloucester and Cirencester, or an hour from Bristol, Bath and Oxford. Stroud train station is 10mins walk away and provides direct trains to London in 90mins.
For children there is Westonbirt Arboretum, Slimbrige Wildfowl Park, Cotswold Wildlife Park, local play parks and an indoor/outdoor public pool.
We are surrounded by fantastic country pubs, including a local legend: The Prince Albert which is regularly voted best music pub in the Cotswolds.
The house itself is an Edwardian / Arts and Crafts home that has a large, secluded garden and 5 bedrooms (plus a box room). We have 3 children under 5 so it is comfortable and practical. It has many original features, loads of character, all mod-cons, and a wood-burning stove to keep you warm in the winter. It's a 5min walk into Stroud or a 10min walk to Rodborough Common (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) - 2 good local pubs are within 5mins walk.
