About our home

➢ Pub, local shops, ponds, children’s play ground and basket ball court within our estate – a coupe of mins walk away.
➢ 2 miles from historic York city, it’s amazing castle walls and Viking centre. Cycling routes just a minutes ride away, you can readily hire bikes.
➢ Great shopping, 15 minutes drive to 3 outlets, city centre, sight seeing, walking, historic houses, all easily accessible.
➢ Fab location - local bus and national train route to London, Birmingham, Manchester and Scotland all within easy reach.
➢ Great village with friendly locals. Our lovely home is based in a privately owned estate which feels like living in beautiful, peaceful resort.

  1. We can travel at short notice and love exploring anywhere.

  2. My husband, Ian has a global role and is globe trotting for much of the time. So we are flexible on swaps and can arrange quickly. I (Karen) have my own business helping people to change their behaviour, beliefs and mind to make thier lives a happier, healthier and better place.

  3. We love all types of holidays. Karen has travelled extensively, having a year out to backpack around South America and Africa after having already travelled to many, many different cultures and countries

Buzzy restaurants
Beautiful Deli where you can have an amazing lunch or ask them about their evening meals. All type of food delivered, including groceries. Fish and Chip, Chinese, India, pizza, kebab takeaways.
Cool bars
Local pub a 5 minute walk, serves great food, ask about their take out menu. Quiz on a Thursday. Many other pubs, bars, restaurants within walking and cycling distance.
Cozy cafés
Beautiful deli in village where you can sit and eat freshly prepared food, or bring it home to eat. Ask about their evening meals of Sunday meals - you bring your plate, they fill it up, you bring it home!
Retail therapy
retail therapy you could handle within 10 minutes drive!
Bit of culture
Culture and history on your doorstep! Osbaldwick was mentioned in the Doomsday book! York was one of medieval England’s largest and most vibrant cities, it retains a huge amount of historic ruins that can be seen everywhere. York Fringe happens in July/August along with a host of other cultural listings.
Walks in the park
There can’t be a better spot than York for yomps. With fantastic city walks, great countryside and lovely coastal routes all close by, there is every reason to explore the great outdoors.
Spot of exercise
We are one of the few areas to have an adult, outdoor gym within our estate. Also 5 minute drive from a private leisure centre that you can pay per session ie swimming, a cycle velodrome, multi gym and many running paths.
Day tripping
Famous historic houses, sites and culture on door step. Travel to London, Scotland, Birmingham, Manchester within 2 hours. Close to the M1 which will take you mostly anwhere in the UK
